Earthquake Hits Northern Philippines
The quake originated at a depth of 27 kilometers (16.7 miles) and was located roughly 29 kilometers (18 miles) northwest of Pasuquin town, as detailed by a news agency.
Officials from the agency cautioned that while aftershocks are anticipated, they are "unlikely to cause significant damage."
The earthquake’s vibrations were also felt in adjacent provinces, including Cagayan, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, and Abra.
The Philippines frequently endures seismic disturbances because it lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire, a zone known for intense tectonic activity.
